Crape Myrtle- Red Rooster
A beautiful, upright, mid-size shrub/tree with large panicles of brilliant red blooms. The disease resistant foliage starts as maroon-red in spring and transitions into dark green. May repeat-bloom in late summer if spent flower heads are pruned. An ideal specimen plant, container accent, or for grouping in any size of garden. Deciduous.
Red Rooster Crapemyrtle will grow to be about 10 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 5 feet. It tends to be a little leggy, with a typical clearance of 2 feet from the ground
Water Needs: Water regularly - weekly, or more often in extreme heat or containers
